With a career that stretches all the way back to 1995, and a ‘members of’ list that includes Cap’n Jazz, Owls, Ghosts & Vodka and Make Believe, their influence is undeniably far-reaching. Now with Victor Villarreal and his hyper-meticulous style of guitar playing back in the fold, Joan of Arc are armed with a new Steve Albini-recorded album which marks an outstanding return to form.

Music lover, record collector, DJ, and broadcaster, Gilles Peterson is perhaps most famous for his much loved genre-exploding radio shows on BBC Radio 1 (and 17 other stations around the world including Japan’s leading commercial station J-Wave). Gilles’ insatiable appetite for new music undoubtedly lies at the heart of his success.

Saturday

Mostly Jazz Festival presents: Mostly Jazz Festival – After show Party (Matthew Herbert DJ Set)

For someone so uncompromising in his attitude towards music and its making, for someone so unafraid to shun the sort of political engagement other, more timid artists consider a commercial turn-off, Matthew Herbert has been extraordinarily successful in an extraordinary variety of fields.

After bringing the Saturday in Moseley Park to a close, Matthew Herbert will be heading over where he will be DJing at the official after party…

Reverb presents: Beats and Pieces – Free Party

After the madness of our 3rd birthday party with Justin Robertson, we are back on Saturday 2nd July with a free party for all our friends.  This time around we are pleased to be sharing the hare and hounds with the Moseley jazz festival and to top that the party is a freebie to thank everyone for their support…rather than the normal house beats expect indie, soul , funk, electronic 80’s, breaks…in fact anything to make that floor move….
