The Little Unsaid to Play the H&H
The Little Unsaid is the pseudonym of John Elliott, Yorkshire born multi instrumentalist, producer and writer who records and performs a unique blend of folk, electronica, poetic lyricism and lavish orchestration.
The 2013 album ‘Dig For The Promise’ was mixed and coproduced by Graeme Stewart (producer and engineer for Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead). It featured acoustic arrangements entwined around electronic beats and melodies constructed from ‘found sounds,’
which were recorded around the streets of London. The single ‘Midnight On An Island’ received repeated BBC 6 radio play and was hailed by esteemed indie music blog Dots and Dashes as one of the genre’s ‘grandest successes thus far.’
This Summer saw the release of a five track EP combined with a book of poetry under the collective title ‘A Filthy Hunger,’ exploring themes of distorted human connection in the modern world. The music was recorded with producer/engineer Brett Shaw (Daughter, Florence and the Machine) with John writing all the parts and playing all of the instruments himself aside from the string arrangements, which were performed by regular collaborators the Southfields String Quartet. The project was crowd funded by fans using pre orders and exclusive offers such as limited edition artwork, remixes and private home concerts.
