Story Books play Hare & Hounds this Wednesday

Kent five-piece Story Books are thrilled to announce the release of their sophomore EP ‘From Post To Post’, due out on 17th March through Communion. The EP was self-produced, then put into the ever-capable hands of Tony Doogan (Belle & Sebastian, Mogwai), who successfully brings the intensity of the band’s lauded live show to each of the recordings. They are giving fans a taster of the new material, through a special seasonal stream of the stunning ‘White Maid’, which features in the forthcoming release.

2013 was particularly eventful for Story Books, who released their debut EP ‘Too Much A Hunter’ to widespread acclaim. Receiving Radio 1 support from Zane Lowe, Huw Stephens, Phil & Alice and Jen & Ally, the band were also playlisted at XFM, with whom they recorded the first ever XFM & Communion backed live session EP ‘New Faces’.

Having shared the stage with The Rolling Stones, whom they were on the bill supporting WITH in Hyde Park; the band subsequently played an impressive live circuit this past year, which included SXSW, T In The Park, Bestival, The Great Escape, Dot-to-Dot, Bushstock, Tramlines, and tours with Public Service Broadcasting, King Charles and Fossil Collective.
