Introducing: The Ramona Flowers

Two years after embarking on their musical mission, The Ramona Flowers have arrived at a sound which is every bit as good as they wanted. Their music mixes electronica, rock, indie, singer Steve Bird’s incredible falsetto and a lot of emotion. It can sometimes seem as if bands are trying to stand out from the crowd by being the loudest, but The Ramona Flowers show that sometimes a gentler sound can shout loudest of all.

Other people think so, such as Clash magazine, who made the beautifully haunting ‘Lust And Lies’ single Track of the Month. The Ramona Flowers wowed audiences on the recent Bastille tour, Hot Chip and Ladytron have remixed them and NME describe the band’s textural sound as one that “could have feasibly fitted on Radiohead’s Kid A” while The Guardian liken their “sweetly sung emotional indie” to that ofThe Temper Trap.

The Lust and Lies EP is available now via iTunes.
