Goodnight Lenin play the H&H this Friday

This Friday we welcome traditional West Coast Americana five-piece Goodnight Lenin to the Hare & Hounds.

An independent outfit with an old school attitude to music, the band celebrate the DIY ethic of the late 80s / early 90s grunge approach and combine with influences including Neil Young, Jonathan Wilson, Phosphorous and Wilco. Goodnight Lenin have released two singles and two EPs, all of which sold out of their limited physical run upon release. The band have played over 60 festivals including Glastonbury, Bestival and Green Man and have been on tour with Dry The River, Stornoway and Beth Jeans Houghton.

In April 2014 they completed their Record Store Day project, for which they recorded, mixed and mastered two Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young covers (Almost Cut My Hair and Helpless) between Birmingham’s analogue Highbury and digital Artisan Audio studios, in just 24 hours. These were released in a super limited run of 24 7″ records which sold out on the day. Check out the promo video below;

The band are now working on their debut album, In The Fullness of Time, which is due for release in November 2014. This will be preceded by its lead single, You Were Always Waiting, in early October.

Advanced £10 tickets are on sale now and very close to selling out so make sure you pick yours up now by clicking here.
