Mat Horne may be better known as an actor in Gavin & Stacey, Catherine Tate Show etc etc, but he also  promotes his Sessions clubnight at The Queen of Hoxton in London.

We’re delighted to be hosting his first ever Sessions party in Birmingham on Sat 13th March (in conjunction with the ground-breaking Chicks Dig Jerks collective).

2010 marks the 10th Anniversary of the Leftfoot club / live nights.  And to celebrate this landmark, we’ll be hosting shows at a variety of different venues across Birmingham and further afield (more details to follow).

We’ll be kicking off this series of events with 4 shows at the Hare & Hounds.

First up is Greg Wilson on Sat 30th January, swiftly followed by Radio 1’s Liquid Funk don, Fabio, on Sat 13th February.

Just 6 days later on Fri 19th February, Mr Scruff will be dropping in for one of his trademark marathon sets, and then on Fri 19th March, the one and only Marlena Shaw will be performing 2 shows with her exceptional band.

More shows will be announced in the coming weeks.

The Pub is now open as per usual, hope you all got nice and stuffed over Christmas!!!!

-Industry Records presents: Musical Youth & 1 Eye…. anyone remember “Pass The Dutchie”? …of course you do! Don’t miss out on this legendary band tonight with support from local reggae band 1 eye,  who have already supported ‘UB40’, Beverley Knight, and ‘Toots and the Maytals’!

Tuesday

– Darkroom presents: ELF – Afternoon Christmas Matinee… So get there early 1:30pm start ALL AGES WELCOME, so if you’ve ran out of things to do with the kids… take a few hours out of the last  minute shopping to come and watch Will Ferrell in the hilarious Christmas film ‘Elf.’!

– The Toy Hearts and Magnificatz Christmas Special plus special guests… A Christmas celebration with the Toy Hearts, Britains finest bluegrass band, and the Magnificatz plus collaborations and special guest vocalist. Should be a great night of rockabilly, western swing and traditional bluegrass. Plus rockabilly DJ till late!

– The Catapult Club presents: Mistys Big Adventure…welcoming back the excellent Misty’s Big Adventure to one of Birmingham’s finest venues! An amazing and entertaining act, their shows are full of fun and energy. We look forward to having them back at The Catapult Club!
