An Evening With Gilles Peterson - Documentary Screening and Q&A

On Saturday 19th July Leftfoot are delighted to welcome Gilles back to the Hare & Hounds for a truly special evening in support of his new Brazilian music collective album ‘Sonzeria – Brasil Bam Bam Bam’.

For a lucky few the night will start with a twist as we host an intimate screening of ‘Bam Bam Bam: The Story of Sonzeria’, a documentary capturing Gilles’s recent journey to Rio in order assemble an incredible cast of Brazilian musicians, named collectively as ‘Sonzeria’, to produce his latest musical offering. Following on from the screening there will be a Q&A session with Gilles where he’ll be discussing his experiences of working on such a unique and daring album. This special screening and Q&A session will be limited to 50 people and exclusively available to those who have purchased tickets for the club night on a RSVP first come first serve basis.

Then to see you through the early hours the BBC 6 Music presenter will take to the decks for a worldwide musical master class over a 2 hour DJ set in our 250 capacity club space. Support comes from one of the Midlands finest electronic DJs and producers Mark E alongside Leftfoot’s head honcho and resident DJ Adam Regan.
