Saturday 5th April – Greg Wilson – The Official Southport Weekender Big 50 Launch Party
The Southport Weekender has been a constant source of inspiration for Leftfoot, delivering monumental lineups year in year out and bringing some of the world’s finest DJs & bands to the UK. So it’s with great pleasure that they’ll be celebrating this years BIG50 Southport weekender with a very special launch party right here at the H&H with one of our favourites, Mr Greg Wilson. Sunday 25th May – Hot 8 Brass Band – Soul Food Projects 5th Birthday Celebrations
Leftfoot will be joining forces with the Soul Food Project to bring Hot 8 Brass Band to the H&H to help celebrate Soul Food’s 5th Birthday. Hot 8 Brass Band was founded in 1995 by tuba player Bennie Pete, Jerome “Bay Bay” Jones(trombone) and Harry “Swamp Thang” Cook (bass drum) to play brass band music professionally. Any incarnation of Hot 8 Brass Band will boast eight or nine players of the highest rate, bringing the passion and noise through a bevy of trombones, saxophones, trumpets, snare and bass drums, all buoyed up by the immense tuba basslines of band leader Bennie Pete. Wednesday 11th June – An Evening with Amp Fiddler
Joseph “Amp” Fiddler is a musician who has an extensive list of credits that extends across a couple decades. Fiddler, who produces and sings in addition to doing the bulk of his duties on keyboards, organs, and pianos, has played on records by Prince, the Brand New Heavies, Ramsey Lewis, George Clinton, the P-Funk All Stars, the Dramatics, Primal Scream, Was (Not Was), and Too Short.
