New Show: Laura Misch

We’re delighted to announce that Goldenvoice will be welcoming Laura Misch to the Hare & Hounds on Tuesday 20th February 2018!

Saxophonist, producer and singer-songwriter Laura Misch’s one-woman show fuses jazz
and progressive electronic genres by exploring the space between analogue and
electronically-manipulated sound.

She debuted her solo set in Autumn 2016 at the Camden Assembly alongside jazz and
soul luminaries Soweto Kinch, Andrew Ashong, and Binker & Moses. Laura then went onto sell-out her debut headline show, which combined her exploratory electronics with some of south London’s finest musicians. In the fall of 2016, she followed these by supporting rising stateside lyricist Noname and the ever-energetic jazz great, Roy Ayers.
Laura released her first self-produced LP Playground in May, which has led her to being
played on Tony Minvielle’s show on Jazz FM and featuring live on BBC 6 Music with Gilles Peterson.

Following a run of european shows including a full house at Reeperbahn Festival in
Hamburg, she supported Belgian jazz singer Melanie De Biasio at London’s Scala and
closed Dulwich Picture Gallery’s South London Summer Jazz Series. Throughout 2017, Laura continued to mould her sax-rich productions and one-woman live set up, leading to an invitation to play at Ableton’s Loop conference in Berlin, a global summit of cutting-edge electronic music makers.

‘Another new generation jazz influenced artist…she not only plays saxophone and sings but she arranges and plays keyboard and does the whole thing. She’s an amazing talent.’ Gilles Peterson

Tickets are now on sale and can be picked up here for just £8.
