Ninja Tunes’ Hexstatic are the original kings of audio-visual mayhem; Your eyes, ears and feet will be delighted….trust us. Slamming electronic funk, acid house and hip hop, cut together with sheer wit and invention in a visual screen explosion; a perfectly synched mash up of can’t-stand-still beats and laugh out loud clips.
Hexstatic have been consistently breaking new ground in Audio and Visual entertainment since 1995. Hexstatic started experimenting with video at the first Big Chill festival and then went on to become resident VJ’s at Ninjatune’s famous Stealth night and a host of other UK clubs. They collaborated with Coldcut and Greenpeace for the Natural Rhythms Trilogy, which included the award winning AV single Timber.
They’ve done video mashups for everyone from Ninja Tune to George Michael!?,.. and directed videos for the likes of Faithless,Shapeshifters and Amon Tobin. That and a cheeky host of bootlegs over the years under the Exactshit moniker.
From dirty AV all-nighters at London’s 333 to the massive Electraglide shows in Tokyo. From Working Mens club launch parties in 3D to playing on a wall of water from the middle of the Thames, from illegal Guerilla gigs on the streets of London to their now infamous Halloween sets, Hexstatic have done it all. Well maybe not all?
