E-Z ROLLER 10 YEAR ANNIVERSARY TOUR

Get Em In join forces with the highly thought of Newspaper “The Night Times” to bring you a night of funk, breaks, jazz and drum ‘n’ bass.

Ez rollers descend on the Hare and Hounds bringing together a fusion of funk, jazz and drum n bass. It’s been ten years since Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels was launched and the epic EZ Rollers theme tune Walk This Land was being belted out across the nation. The awe-inspiring Tough at the Top was also a huge hit driven by the original vocalist Kelly “The Lady Roller” who will perform alongside the highly talented hype man Messy MC. This is a 2 DJ 2 vocalist performance of E-Z rollers finest moments, so come and shake a leg!

EZ-ROLLERS (DJ SET)
Forming in 1994 EZ rollers really did bring the funk back to Drum n Bass practically renaming it Jazz n Bass.. Experimenting with down tempo tunes that would cross over with many genres. Influences include Roy Ayers, Grand Master Flash, De La Soul, The Specials Stevie Wonder and Kenny Ken.
This set will be taking you on a history lesson from The Lock Stock, Weekend World era,
quite simply this is music for any broken beat fan.

THE LADY ROLLER (VOCALIST)
Kelly “The Lady Roller” was the original EZ rollers vocalist. Her talents were highlighted on “Jazz Talkin” from the album Dimensions of sound but it was “Walk this Land” and “Tough at the Top” that really put her on the map as a leading singer. Her influences include the likes of Alice Russell, Quantic, Angie Stone and the Sonar Kollectiv and these all prevail in her live performance.

MESSY MC (HYPEMAN)
Messy has become an integral part of the EZ rollers live show. At an early age his heavily influential parents bombarded him with a combination of Jazz, Soul and old Jamaican Ska music before he took his own musical direction into US and UK hip hop where he began his passion for writing and freestyling. As a natural MC he crossed over into the world of Drum n Bass, citing the likes of LTJ Bukem, Fabio and Roni Size as peers. A complimentary front man that lets the music breathe yet he is sure to get the party jumping.
