We sell out every year but you can guarantee your entry to our Hare & Hounds New Year’s Eve by telling us what your favourite event this year was and why… doesn’t have to be an essay but we’d like to know your choice acts and who to ask back next year! Here’s what we have for you on New Year’s Eve:

Two of the city’s finest promoters will be taking over the Hare & Hounds for a New Year’s Eve Party across the two upstairs venues.

In Venue 1, Freestyle and Leftfoot resident, Sam Redmore has invited Free School to help recreate the amazing scenes from last year’s Freestyle NYE show from our sister venue The Bulls Head. Expect to hear the finest soul, funk, hip-hop, reggae, latin, disco and much more

In Venue 2, This Is Tmrw will be joined by special guests, Waifs & Strays. The Bristol duo have had a great couple of years with some amazing release on Futureboogie, Hot Creations, Get Physical & Leftroom.  Expect to hear a mix of house, future bass and disco.

Lame Games Evening!

I will be leading the lame game rebellion! Try and stop me, twister, jenga, Connect 4, Game of Life, Operation, Battleships, Kerplunk, Noughts & Crosses, Chess, Draughts, Buckaroo and anything else you can think of! We’ll be stocking up on out Mince Pies, Pork Pies & Mulled Wine to get you all jolly…

A night of truly Lame Games to get you in the mood for Christmas giving you the chance to brush up on your lame game skillz before the big day (sibling rivalry) and also the chance to win some Great prizes!

Our main event for the evening will be our Giant Jenga Tournament. If you think you are The Jenga Master, that YOU can conquer all when it comes to … moving blocks from above and below… other blocks, then make sure you sign yourself or a friend up in advance *First come First served*

You will also have the chance to WIN A MINCE PIE!!! All you have to do is challenge our barmaid/man to a game of noughts and crosses in order to win a scrumptious pie, there is no limit to how many times you can play!

For this night expect a mix of Afro-beat, ska, reggae, funk, jazz, rock, ragga, hip-hop, house, world music, drum’n’bass and punk…

TUE 13THSPC Live presents: James McCartney & Special Guests – 2011 has already seen James perform at the Tibet House Benefit Concert at the New York’s famous Carnegie Hall. Playing with the likes of The Flaming Lips, Patti Smith and Michael Stipe – Now, to coincide with his Collection release, James McCartney will perform at H&H set to be an incredible show!

WED 14THSpeak Up presents: Christmas Comeback – Jodi Ann Bickley & Friends - a mostly spoken word event hosted by local a master of poetry. Transforming the H&H into a living room, complete with furniture, lamps, been bags and rugs. Speak Up is playing host to artists Polarbear, John Berkavitch, Alex Gwyther, Byron Vincent, David J, Martyna Baker, Eva Lazarus & Tom Peel!

SAT 24THThe Catapult Club presents: Misty’s Big Adventure, The Chinese Burn Society & Kate Goes – 8 piece led by Grandmaster Gareth, who John Peel once pronounced ‘The New God’. Misty’s released four studio albums to critical acclaim, the NME calling their last album ‘a masterpiece’. Collaborations include Broadcast, Jeffrey Lewis, Pram, The Zutons, Noddy Holder & Gruff Rhys.
