Sorry to all of the people who were expecting to come and see Roy Ayers and Pete Rock yesterday, unfortunately the gig got cancelled due to injury. Hopefully most of you were informed before you made the journey. Although we can’t replace the gig, we have some fantastic Leftfoot shows coming up such as Quantic and his Combo Barbaro, Easy Star All-Stars & Mr Scruff available through www.theticketsellers.co.uk

Tuesday
It’s Just Noise, The Iron Helix & Birmingham Promoters presents: Fantastic Damage Special: Anti-Pop Consortium / H.L.I. – As befits a group that met at a poetry slam, New York’s Anti-Pop Consortium formed in 1997 to pioneer the antidote to sex, money and power-obsessed commercial hip hop. They reformed in 2009 to much ado, and reunion album ‘Fluorescent Black’ is widely seen as their finest and most relevant album to date. “A fetching contradiction. Their beats are opuses of weird, unpredictable energy, but as rappers they’re as fiercely focussed as the next guy. Only the next guy is rapping about normal things.”
Stitches and Hos presents: Stitches and Hos – Stitches and Hos are a motley crew of enthusiasts for all things knitted, crocheted and stitched. We can be found creating soft chaos and dropping stitches on the last Tuesday of every month from 7.30pm onwards in the back bar. Everyone welcome – you don’t even have to be good!
Thursday
Emma Scott presents: Against The Wheel / Shebrew / 2nd Side Made / Eyes Of The Raven – Energetic. Loud. Honest. Against The Wheel bring together an intense rock sound that you’ll find yourself whistling and tapping to, long after the ringing’s stopped! This is music for people who want tunes without pretension or fakery. Previous venues have been shaking to an energetic LIVE set that pulls no punches and holds no compromise.
