Stitches and Hos – A little knitting hootenanny – Stitches and Hos are a motley crew of enthusiasts for all things knitted, crocheted and stitched. We can be found creating soft chaos and dropping stitches on the last Tuesday of every month from 7.30pm onwards in the back bar. Everyone welcome – you don’t even have to be good!

HuschBox presents: Husch/Grey Area/Pandas and People – 4 piece Birmingham based musical collective, influenced by artists such as Imogen Heap, Ani Difranco and The Cocteau Twins. Soulful female lead vocals combined with melodic drum and bass grooves and diversity in style and genre have already established the band as an exciting, unpredictable and upcoming force on the Birmingham music scene.

Arts Deville presents: Alternative Dubstep Orchestra / Dhol Blasters: Grande Finale – In the final instalment of the Alternative Dubstep Orchestra’s residency, ahead of summer festivals, we are proud to present a bhangra collaboration with the mighty DHOL BLASTERS and King G Mal himself. This is set to be a very special night with visuals from BLENDSTATE’s Liam d’Authreau and some very special musicians in an extravaganza to celebrate the sounds of the city…
Friday
Moseley Folk’s Lunar Society presents: The Mariner’s Children / Boat To Row / Tom Peel – 7 piece alt-folk band who’ve been a long time in the making. Their sound draws on their influences and sees an alliance with the immense instrumentation of Arcade Fire, yet not set apart from the subtleties of the likes of Iron & Wine and Bonnie Prince Billy.
Heducation presents: Japan Fundraiser – featuring Bentley Rhythm Ace – ALL profits from this event will be donated to the British Red Cross, and will be used to help the Japanese people recover from this devastating natural disaster, over the coming months and years. The costs of the relief effort, and of rebuilding the homes and lives of those affected, will be immense. Please help this worthy cause by attending the event, or by helping to spread the word to your friends.
Saturday
Mostly Jazz presents: Duplicates / Atlantic Players / Swampmeat – heavyweight trio specialising in rhythm and blues ,soul ,ska and film tunes .Between them they have worked with the likes of Edwyn Collins, The Ruts, Iggy Pop, Death in Vegas, Paul Weller, Marc Almond, Roger Daltry & Morrissey. The last two visits to the hare and hounds were sold out, don’t miss these guys!
SumoSoundSystem presents: TNT & Disgrace’s Birthday Mashup! – You know its always party night @Sumo and in true tradition two of our resident djs TNT & Disgrace are celebrating in true Mashup style.Expect a party night full of cavorting, drinking, laughing, kissing, playing,dancing and raving to the sounds of Breaks / Dubstep / Drum & Bass/ Jungle
FaceBOOT presents: Bar Boot Bazaar
The Bar Boot Bazaar! The event will be weekly and will take place in the 2 upstairs venues at the Hare & Hounds Pub, from 11-3pm. It will be a haven of vintage, bric a brac, books, records, toys, arts, crafts and much much more. (If you are interested in having a stall, then please get in touch.)

Every Saturday Soul Food Project will be throwing open the doors to the back lounge at The Hare and Hounds, sprucing up the room and easing you into the weekend with the sweetest soul music and deepest raw funk soundtrack in B14 and beyond.

Whilst you tuck into your roasts, Dubber & Brian Travers will be playing the platters that matter with a smorgasbord of jazz, bossa nova, funk, reggae, dub and anything else that takes their fancy. Soul Food will be on hand to provide the best Sunday dinners in B14…Think Cajun Beefs, Warming Butternut Squash, Sticky, sweet hams, Crunchy Pork Belly and beyond…..
