~ Birmingham Promoters & Balkanic Eruption presents: Mama Matrix / The Crooked Fiddle Band / Boat To Row Frenetic Balkan punksters Mama Matrix combine finely honed musicianship with raw, infectious charisma… whilst Australian chainsaw-folk vigilantes The Crooked Fiddle Band deliver a no-holds-barred celebration of dark, ecstatic energy. Intertwining folk traditions with bush music, Celtic, bluegrass, jazz and modern gypsy evolutions, this Sydney-based acoustic four-piece (double-bass, violin, drums and guitar/bouzouki) spurs the dance floor into a post-apocalyptic hoedown.

~ High Yield Productions presents: Rubadubdub, Rock This Tub – a one off monster mamajam of a night, aiming to raise money for the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre, (so behind the silly name lies a serious purpose!). Some of the hottest up and coming acts from around Birmingham have donated their time and their talent to support this evening that encompasses bands and dj’s, rock and dub-step and everything in between. Fun and frivolity will ensue, so book your tickets in advance to avoid dissin my appointments!

~ Friendly Fire Music & Jibbering presents: African Connection – Hashim (Tanzania), DJ Cro & Jam Jah Sound – A night of Hip Hop and Reggae from Africa to the UK, featuring Hashim straight from Tanzania for an exceptional one off show in the UK. Purgatory represents a collective of promoters, artists and musicians working on the basis that our town needs a bit of spunk shot in between the eyes – we need a shake and wake up. Purgatory will work on an every now and again basis. What this means is, we won’t be boring you to death with routines, daily begging you to attend e-mails or the promise of a monthly, communal wank with the retailers. What we can promise is a darkened room, somewhere in town with an in-house band and the right tunes at the right times — whenever we feel like you might need it… FREE ENTRY!
