Your summer starts here! 5th Element is very excited to bring The Correspondents to the party people of Birmingham as they embark upon their first UK tour. MC Mr Bruce and DJ/Producer Mr Chuckles collaborate to make Hip Hop for the 1930’s, Big Band music for the 00’s. Splicing swing samples with squelchy synths over dusty drum loops they’ve depicted a modern day journey into time of rogue’s, lust, affordable clowns and foot-tapping toe curling “get your brogues on” dance floor swing beat. Marc Reck
Explosive dj sets, groundbreaking Birmingham events, and innovative collaborations are three things that have become synonymous with Dj Marc Reck. Though most known for his floor filling breakbeat sets, Marc’s recent performances for Project X Presents, Custom Made, and the Birmingham Opera Company, have seen his djing now take on a more multi genre approach, and alongside his Mr Elephant radio shows, appeal to much wider audiences. Coined as the DJ with no barriers by the Night Times and winner of best local DJ in Dec 2008, Marc has 6 residencies, a radio show, and has supported a huge spectrum of live bands and headline DJs.
