Johnny Foreigner / Talons / Ace Bushy Striptease

jofoJohnny Foreigner are a trio hailing from Birmingham, UK. They play huge, pop-tinged spiky rock songs with boundless melody and energy. The band released their debut album ‘Waited Up Till It Was Light’ in June 2008 and it was instantly hailed as a classic by fans and media alike. Following on from the triumph of singles like ‘Salt, Peppa and Spinderella’ the band locked themselves away to record their second album, due for a release later in 2009!

Tour Support TALONS have been added to the bill!!
Talons are an instrumental band, who call the backwater town of Hereford, their home. Forging the explosive energy of hardcore, the subtleties of post-rock and the fractured song structures and complexities associated with math-rock, Talons possess a fascinating sense of urgency and drive, with a sound that both soothes and savages in equal measure.

The band are best experienced in a live environment, where the visceral, raw energy of their music can be fully appreciated.

Support comes from Ace Bushy Striptease, They write and perform brief pop punk songs.

Having released two albums last year, the concise ‘Toadstool Ellipsis On The Grass’ and the succinct ‘Daniel Ershov Has Been Offered £100,000 By An Eccentric Millionaire To Step Naked From A Car Onto A Busy City Street, Walk 200 Meters And Climb Back Into The Car’, they are currently in the midst of recording their, as yet untitled, third record for Odd Box Records.
