Resistor: VANGUARD SESSIONS
RESISTOR: Vangaurd Sessions
On a cold and darkened Friday the 13th in the encroaching winter you are invited to a gathering.
There presented will be four of Birminghams most stalwart VANGAURDS of the cutting edge of electronic music.
Like bastions of religious portent, they are aimed firmliy at the constantly evolving forefronts of electronic music. Not satisfied with being shackled to one clearly defined sound.
Very much able to play music of recognised genres, RESISTOR aims to bring you the very cutting edge of as many of them as possible. The Vanguards will proudly deliver you the heavily processed music from many dance music styles, the true pioneers from each genre. Alternatively, there will be live performances on the night, similarly mutating through a complex sound palette of forward thinking music.
From the realms of ‘Birmingham sound’ and wonky techno, through electronica, break core, electro, dubstep and even the destroying of pop songs, all chucked into the mix. This is music for your brain and your booty!!
On the eve:
Harvey Lane – House of God resident and Veto Record Distribution honcho. Always seriously cutting edge.
Subcitizen – Vinyl pimp and all around audio terrorist.
Jade One – Granular science in liveset form, marauding rythms and foundation shaking bass.
Terrorbyte – to quote “mento grime booty ragga!”, indeed!
Simplex – Deck ninja and collector of dangerous vinyl.
£2 entry
