Two of Birmingham’s most exciting underground house and techno nights Cog and Bunka join forces to bring you the legendary BILLY NASTY @ the Hare and Hounds, Kings Heath, Birmingham on Saturday 11th July 2009.
Acclaimed DJ and producer BILLY NASTY has performed at some of the most credible venues worldwide over the last few decades. Currently based in Brighton but with dates immediately forthcoming all over the world, he is keen to make his presence felt at home in the UK and can regularly be seen spinning vinyl at Fabric in London.
‘I play techno, minimal and electro but I’m at my happiest fluctuating between styles, a million miles away from that bang-bang unforgiving techno’.

Listed in the Guinness Book Of Records, for having the first commercially released mix album and responsible for introducing a roster of European talent (including Adam Beyer, Marco Carola, Umek), to a wider audience, he has had an incredible role to play in the growth of electronic music.

Cog was created in September 2007, originally a monthly night at Rootys at the Custard Factory where it honed its exciting mix of underground house and techno. By 2008 Cog was holding parties in an art gallery in the Jewellery Quarter and holding various free parties, Cog is currently based at the exciting Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath where it continues to grow today.
BUNKA
Bunka was born in October 2007 in the redeveloped club space above the Bulls Head pub in Moseley and is the creation of resident DJ Matt Tilley and Co-promoter Harvey Scriven and more recently Paolo Riozzi has joined the Ranks. We host monthly BUNKA parties on the last Friday of every month, with a view to putting on some special one-off parties at some of the cities other venues in 2009.
Our music policy is simple… underground, forward thinking electronic music.
