Hare and Hounds

On Thursday 9th April Grindhouse brings you an extra special treat, with a one-off party at The Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath. 

Featuring, all the way from New Zealand, two of the worlds most sort after DnB headliners – The Upbeats and Bulletproof. 

Since announcing their arrival on the drum`n`bass scene in 2004 – creating more of a shockwave than a mere splash – New Zealand producers, The Upbeats, have continued to forge an impressive reputation as both masters of their craft and the future of drum`n`bass. They have crafted a sound that ranges between frenetic and energetic liquid funk, intensely moody and claustrophobic drum`n`bass, and soulful indulgences of elevation. The sheer diversity and inventiveness of their sound has paid dividends, as the Upbeats have been in demand the world over and Grindhouse are honoured to play host to their Midlands debut. 

Staying true to his roots, Bulletproof has time and time again earned the respect of DJ`s and producers the world over. His uncompromising love for dancefloor drum and bass tunes and true passion and understanding for the sound of rolling funked-out drum and bass, has seen New Zealand-based producer Bulletproof maintain his place amongst the leaders of this sound. 

Add to this, a live set by the mighty PCM and DJ sets from Grindhouse residents – Phibes and Phase 2 and you`ve got one hell of a Bank Holiday warmup.
